The Kiwanis Club of Pearland, Texas will be dedicated to helping children in area schools, supporting the local food pantry, and providing books to kids and helping to teach reading skills. But, we’re also open to new service ideas and invite you to participate in our new Kiwanis club and let us team up on those new ideas!

Volunteer Dates and Times
Friday, December 5 – Prep Day 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Help prepare supplies, lights, bags, and setup equipment (100–150 volunteers needed)
Saturday, December 6 – Candle Preparation and Placement
Morning Shift: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Assist with light assembly, placement, and final adjustments (600+ volunteers needed)
Sunday, December 7 – Clean Up Day 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Help with clean-up and removal of luminarias (300+ volunteers needed)
Potential service programs for the new Pearland Kiwanis club are: THESE ARE EXAMPLES
Disaster Relief packs and boxes for local or regional assistance
Training folks in town to assist in disaster relief programs
Reading programs for kids in early elementary schools
Possible scholarships for high school students
Dental baggies (toothbrush, paste, coloring book on taking care of teeth, and more items) for 1st and/or 2nd graders
Little Libraries scattered around town
Helping kids at various grade levels establish their own service projects to help the community.
These are just some starter ideas proposed by various folks in town. #KidsNeedKiwanis
